As I’ve gotten older, I realize, the less “stuff” I need. I’ve noticed I’m more methodical as I make buying decisions now, too. Maybe I’m becoming more wiser in my older age LOL.
When my kids were little, I definitely was all about hitting the Black Friday deals. My sister and I would team up and go to different stores, just so we could get the kids the toys that they wanted. Were we crazy or what?
I think I started changing my thinking about eight years ago. I started making gifts for all of our family members. Each year, it’s something different that I have thought about all year long. By the time Thanksgiving comes, I’ve decided what I’m going to make lol.
Just like on Little House on the Prairie, I aim to make gifts that are meaningful and useful. See their gift giving guide HERE.
The following are some ideas I’ve made in the past. It seems each year, my family and friends look forward to what I’m going to give them. I hope my gifts live up to their expectations lol.
Let’s be honest, I’m a gift giver. I always have been. The thought that I put into each gift means so much to me. I can’t wait to see the look on people’s faces as they open their surprise!
Simple Gift Ideas
*some of these gifts I make and some I sell.
These gifts are great to give to a friend or to keep things simple, do a family gift. I’ve never known anyone to turn down food as a gift, so you’re probably safe with any of those items LOL.
I’d love to hear more ideas on what you make for Christmas gifts!!! Since tomorrow is Small Business Saturday, I’m having my Annual BOGO Sale on my Wood Slice Ornaments! Click the image below or you can go HERE to order them. Thank you for supporting my little farm store! <3
